Didi and Danka were rescued from a fur farm.
Different color variants of the rusty fox have been bred for the purpose of fur production. There are about 15 variants, while Didi and Danka are the so-called silver foxes.
THANK YOU for the adoption contribution to Didi and Danka:

The fur of the fox has orange shades, while the tail, tips of the ears and limbs are usually darker with an admixture of black. A white band stretches from her snout to her lip and the underside of her neck to the entire inner lower part of her body. In addition to the typically red rusty fox, there are also differently colored individuals. For example, such a “coal” has a very dark belly, throat and shoulders. Some foxes have a dark cross on their shoulders, while others are generally lighter. The most typical feature of a fox is its bushy tail.
The fox is a solitary and wandering animal, only the mother and cubs or several siblings live together. They mate in January – February, while seducing the males for the females. Especially then, but also at other times, they bark. The fox is a solitary and wandering animal, only the mother and her cubs or several siblings live together. After the birth of the cubs, the female remains in the burrow, and the male takes care of the food, which supplies the whole family. Fox cubs’ eyes and ears open two weeks after birth, and after four weeks they leave the burrow for the first time to explore the surroundings. At the age of 6 months, they already weigh as much as their parents. They quickly master the art of hunting and disperse to find their own territory.
The fox is our most common carnivore. It occurs in practically all types of habitats, where it can find suitable food. The only condition is a place where he can find shelter.
Foxes mainly live in burrows. Underground burrows are preferably dug on sunny slopes. The fox’s lair has a branching system of corridors with several exits. The fox lines the nesting chamber with fur, which it pulls mainly from the belly. Her den, especially in the spring, can be recognized from afar by the pile of excavated soil.
The fox is a smart animal, it has a very well developed sense of smell and hearing. He can even hear the low-frequency tones caused by a mouse crossing the grass or an earthworm crawling on the ground.
In recent years, there have been reports of foxes in landfills and large cities feeding on garbage. They have already been seen visiting dumpsters and eating from dog bowls.
The fox hunts rodents with its characteristic jump, when it almost silently bounces off the pelvic limbs and stabs its thoracic limbs and lip when it hits the snow or grass.
Sometimes the fox is helped by her sister, who does not have cubs at the moment, or one of her older daughters. These “aunts” thus gather very valuable experience for raising their own young in the next year.
The fox’s eyes glow green in the dark.
The fox does not chew the food, it just tears the meat into smaller pieces.
After birth, foxes have short snouts and resemble puppies.
