Professional Practise
Secondary school and college students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at Malkia Park, helping them better understand their field of study while contributing to their personal and professional growth.
Our vocational training programme offers a unique chance to:
- Work closely with animals and experienced professionals
- Learn about wildlife care, conservation, and zoo operations
- Develop practical skills in a real-life environment
This is an invaluable experience for anyone passionate about nature and eager to explore the reality of working in a zoo.

Welcome to Malkia Park – a place where education meets nature and animals!
At Malkia Park, we believe in the value of education and hands-on experience. This is also why we have created a professional practice program that allows students from secondary and higher schools to actively participate in our daily life and work.

Our school vocational training focus on a variety of areas – primarily biology, veterinary science and ecology, but during the peak season, at various public events, students can also try interconnecting their field with tourism or pedagogy as part of visitor education. Students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in the daily tasks and care for our animals and the park. They can also get to know the processes of meeting the needs of our visitors and get into the depth of the functioning of such a large complex as a zoo.

During the internship, students have the opportunity to get to know our team of experienced professionals and their daily workload. Our employees will share their experiences with students, answer their questions and explain what each job position entails. Students thus have the opportunity to try out a specific job in a real environment and thus gain a better overview of it.
